We Make
Heavy Things.
— Manifesto / 2026
Walk loud.
Make less.
Make it last.
STRIDE is an independent footwear and apparel label founded in 2021 by Inês Costa and Marcus Vela. We work in two studios — one in Lisbon's Beato district, one in Brooklyn's Industry City — and we ship four drops a year. No more, no less.
Everything we make is built in northern Portugal, at a single family-run factory we have worked with since the first prototype. Our materials are sourced within 200km of the workshop. Our colour palette is five tones. Our mood is loud.
We believe a shoe is a small, daily performance. A record of the way a body moves through space. We design for that performance to be heard.
Made in Portugal.
Single factory, single family, since 2021. Visits every quarter, not every quarter-century.
Limited by design.
480 pairs per drop, four drops a year. We stop when we run out. We never reissue.
Loud, but kind.
The colour is loud. The materials are kind. Recycled cotton lining, vegetable-tanned leather, no plastic packaging.
